Site accessibility

Many people have been involved in the design and editing of the site to make the site accessible to many people.

Many Hands

Technological development, design and content editing have been tested manually and by automatic checkers to meet the needs and preferences of different people.  Our goal is to exceed WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility with innovative approaches and ideas.

UI Options

At the right hand top of the site the user can find the User Interface options to customize the way the site is displayed to meet individual needs and preferences.

With User Interface Options, the user can customize content the following ways:

  • Text size and style
  • Line spacing
  • Colour and contrast
  • Display a table of contents
  • Emphasize links
  • Simplify layout
  • Enable text-to-speech without additional plugins or software

Language Translation

We have also provided a language translation feature at your fingertips – again in the upper right.

Simple language

Although this is a technology project, we have tried to write and design it to be as simple and plain language as we can.  Ideas from our readers as to better language to use anywhere is always appreciated.
