Enable secure access without a memorized password

This feature allows the user to securely access the system and any private personal data without requiring a memorized password and user name. There are many options possible to address this need, including stored passwords, automatic logins, and special USB “keys” – memory sticks containing authentication information.

Discussion by Disabilities

Cognitive

  • It may be difficult for a person with a cognitive disability, low literacy, or memory problem to remember and enter a username/password.  An authentication method that doesn’t require text entry can allow these users to easily and securely access information.
