Magnification

This feature includes the enlargement (magnification) of text, pictures, and/or multimedia on the display. This magnification should be adjustable by the user to meet individual preferences and needs. Different products or user options may allow a variety of magnification types and sizes, such as a magnification of all items on the screen, magnification of only certain types of items (e.g. text), or magnification of a specified area (e.g. around the mouse cursor).

Low Vision

  • Magnification makes it easier for many people with low vision to view and understand content

Cognitive

  • Magnification may be helpful, because it reduces the amount of visible items on the screen, thus reducing distractions and promoting focus.

Open Source and free

These products are free and their source code may be modified with few restrictions.

Free, not necessarily open source

These products are free to use, but may have strict restrictions on viewing and modifying source code.

Commercial, with free trial

These products are free to try for a limited period of time or with limited functionality. They must be purchased for full functionality.

Commercial, no free trial

These products must be purchased to be used, and did not offer free trials at the time of posting.
