Raising the Floor becomes a registered Association; in Geneva Switzerland

Today, Raising the Floor became a registered international association with its home in Geneva Switzerland.

The organization took the name Raising the Floor - International as its name in recognition that there will likely be chapters or affiliated organizations in other countries as well. There are efforts underway already to form an affiliate in Canada and one in the United States. Switzerland was chosen as the home for RtF-I because it the effort is international and the Switzerland has become recognized as the most neutral or international country in the world. Geneva was chosen because of the UN, ITU, and so many other international programs that would relate to RtF's mission. The consortium was formalized to facilitate the ability of the effort to accept funding and hire people, in Geneva and throughout the world, to help coordinate and advance the mission.

To reflect this new organization, the web site will be undergoing renovation in January and February. Look for more information as the new site takes shape.
