National Federation of the Blind Endorses GPII

The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) has offered its support to Raising the Floor's Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure project. A letter from Dr. Marc Maurer, NFB's President, says in part, "GPII offers the promise of a global approach that will make development, delivery, and use of access technologies and services easier, less expensive, and more effective.  As a result, the initiative will facilitate the simple and straightforward incorporation of accessibility into technology as it is designed and developed, rather than as an afterthought or work-around."

NFB has a long-time commitment to accessible technology, including its International Braille and Technology Center, its integrated program on accessible voting technologies, and its many successful advocacy efforts in the legal arena.
